◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? That voice in his head, it kept reminding him of just how much he absolutely hated this city. The settlers here were so presumptuous and it bothered him. He just didn't understand after all these years, how the people of Diamond city couldn't accept ghouls. What was so wrong with them? You know, other than their disgusting appearance. Perhaps they were just jealous of their long lifelines. Rayi knew he had been until he realized he wasn't aging. Perhaps that was the true reason he disliked the city. He feared if any of them realized exactly how old he was, he'd be kicked out in a heartbeat. Best not to think of these things.
"No. A bit of food and then bed." Rayi had grumbled to himself before sitting down at the bar. All of his affects had been left in the room he had purchased earlier that day. It would be a nice change compared to his usual camp sites. A meal other than canned beans would be somewhat nice as well. "No. Just no."
No one was sitting by Rayi. There was a man behind him, but he didn't seem to be listening to Rayi. Getting straight to the point, yes, he was talking to himself. Honestly, this wasn't unusual for him. At least not in public. It wasn't that he cared what others thought of him, he just didn't want to bring too much unwanted attention his way. It never ended so well for either him or them.
'Come on, we never stay to mingle in these dumps.Stop being a stuck up. You remind me of these people.' His mind grumbled to him. It had caused Rayi to roll his eyes in protest. Yet part of what his mind said did bother him. He didn't like being compared to the people of Diamond city. Mingling. He could mingle. Maybe.

down in the forest we'll sing a chorus one that everybody knows hands held higher we'll be on fire singing songs that nobody wrote 475 WORDS Rayi !! ♥ THREAD ONE ♥ |
It wasn't very crowded at the Duggout tonight. Just a few people here and there, chatting about this and that. Of course there was the usual crowd who regarded her with familiar eyes as she stood behind the bar playing with a strand of her hair. The brothers that owned the bar were out and about, and she was watching the clock for when her shift would end and she could go curl up in her bed with a book and relax. She had been on her feet for hours and she was beginning to grow weary of standing. She wished she had her own stool behind the bar but she refused to drag one around from the floor. The owners might not appreciate that very much. She sighed, letting her hair fall back down to her shoulders as she heard the door creak open. She looked up, noticing a face that she hadn't seen yet.
The thing about working in a bar was the fact that you quickly got to know everyone. She had been in Diamond City for a year now and it was usually the same old drunks and geezers that came wobbling through the door. It was always a thrill to see someone new, so her demeanor perked up and she found herself striding over to the newcomer once he had gotten situated behind the bar. She smiled as best as she could, giving a small wave as she approached. "Hey there, welcome to the Duggout! What can I get started for you?" She leaned a hand on the bar, waiting for a response as she let her eyes travel the room for a moment.
He hadn't come in with anyone. Was it possible he was traveling alone in the Wasteland and had stopped in to Diamond City to rest? Most people had their problems with the city, but she figured it was a safe enough place to live, even despite the cautious nature of the residents and the ever shifting glances. People were on edge about the Synths lately, and she wasn't even sure she believed that they were real. She had seen no proof that the Institute even existed, and until that proof showed its face she was more than willing to go on believing that it's just some scary story to coax children to be on their best behavior. Be good or the synths will come and take you away to the Institute! She nearly chuckled at the notion, but stifled it in favor of not wanting to seem weird.
Regardless of whether they were real or fake, she didn't have time to dwell on it. She had customers and getting lost in her thoughts and ignoring them was bad for business. So, she turned her attention back to the newcomer and waited for a response.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? 'Hey numb nuts, she was talking to you.' Rayi's crimson eyes raised, focusing on the dark haired girl. It took a couple moments, but soon enough a look of realization spread across his face. It only lasted for a few seconds before he quickly cleared his voice, his expression switching to annoyance. He wasn't upset with the bartender, but instead with himself. He had told himself many times over that name calling was uncalled for. Then again, when did he ever listen to himself?
"Do you have any house specials?" He finally asked, his eyes still focused on the bartender. 'You idiot. Order whisky. That will warm you up.' his mind had insulted him once again. Honestly, he was pretty sure it was doing it on purpose now. Always had to be the defiant type. "I'm not cold." He commented, looking to the bar counter as spoke, "Just need food and... someone to mingle to." He once again looked up at the bartender, as if awaiting to hear her answer to his question. Truth was, he hadn't actually been paying attention to know if she had already answered him or not.
Perhaps after his meal he could mingle with this girl. She seemed nice enough. He liked her hair color. It matched his own. Not that matching hair colors was important to him. It was just simply the first thing he noticed about her. He had also noticed that she hadn't said anything to bother him yet. That was always a bonus. Most people in Diamond City didn't even have to open their mouths before bothering him. There mannerisms spoke all he needed to know. Of course, the side of him he had been arguing with all night would disagree with him. He'd claim there were only two types of people. The strong and the weak. The girl in front of him would clearly be considered weak. That wasn't how Rayi felt though. He believed that sometimes looks could play tricks on you.

Astrid smiled politely at his words and gave a nod. "There are a few. We have plenty of stuff mixed with nuka cola, even if the stuff is getting kinda hard to find. Funny thing about that stuff is that is never goes bad for some reason. Can't imagine it could be too good for your body at that rate." She gave a shrug. "I usually make myself a Jameson and cranberry, but the Nuka Cola Quantum and Whiskey is okay if you don't mind the rads." She gave a small giggle to hint that she was joking. "How about we keep it simple and I'll just fix you a whiskey?" She tilted her head, and didn't wait for a response before going about pouring him a glass. "And as far as food goes, we have some pretty good noodles we get in fresh from that Japanese robot outside. Or we have some brahmin steak burgers." Honestly their food menu wasn't that extensive. Most of it was grown there in Diamond City, so it consisted of whatever vegetables they could harvest on top of the meat trade. "It'll cost you quite a few caps though."
She slid his drink across the bar on a napkin and gave another smile. "First one is always on me. Enjoy." She leaned against the bar, absently reaching up to toy with a strand of her hair again. "Never seen your face around here. Where did you blow in from, if you don't mind me asking?" She found it interesting to hear travelers' stories. She didn't get out in the wastes very much and she was always interested to hear about the current goings-on in the wasteland. It made her life seem rather boring, but she didn't mind. As long as she was safe it didn't matter to her if she was considered a bore or not.
A few people were beginning to leave, and she wondered what time it was. Her shift was over in a few minutes, but she wanted to make sure that she took care of all the customers before she threw in the towel for the day. Of course, her only customer at the moment was the man before her, and she was now engaged in conversation with him, so it would be a little rude to just leave now. "I'm Astrid, by the way. I know every face in Diamond City. Only reason I asked." She clarified with a nod.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Rayi sat there in completely silence as he listened to the woman explain the different drinks. He hadn't caught on to her joke in even the slightest, and he probably wouldn't have made a single reaction to your explanations if hadn't been for the comment his mind made. 'Oh. My. Atom Bomb.' His mind exclaimed, 'She is so bubbly! Someone needs to slap her to see what happens. Can I slap her? I want to slap her.' Rayi was not going to give his mind the satisfaction of even acknowledging that had just suggested slapping a complete stranger. So he did the only thing he could think of. He smiled. It was only a small smile, but a smile none the less. At the very least it made it look like he had actually gotten her joke. Hummer never seemed to sit well with this side of him.
Wait, had she just poured him a free drink? That... never happened. No one ever gave other people things for free. Ever. Ok, well, maybe sometimes but it was so rare it felt like never. 'Whisky. How did she know? I like this girl. Still want to slap her though.' Honestly, did he always have to ruin a good thing? Nevermind. She was talking to him. It meant he had his chance to mingle, but to do that, he had to reply to her.
"It's ok. I need to mingle with people. I've been told I'm boring." Perhaps a bit overly blunt, but he didn't seem to care. He had never been good at talking to people even after all these years. "I was in Sanctuary for a few days. Came here to look for work. Only help they want in Sanctuary is from the Minutemen. Thanks, by the way, for the drink." He hadn't even noticed his hand holding the glass, waiting for the moment he finished speaking. He probably wouldn't have noticed if the drink hadn't made its way to his lips the second he had finished. The liquid burned the moment it reached his throat, causing him to let out a small cough. As quickly as he could, Rayi attempted to recover himself, deciding speech was the best option.
"My names Ra-" He had attempted to introduce himself, but instead his voice crackled, making his words high pitched and hard to say. He had no choice but the clear his throat, attempting once again to speak. "My name is Rayi. It isn't short for anything. People always ask me if it is, but it isn't." Clearing his throat had seemed to work. His voice had still been a bit raspy, but it was lot better than the high pitch squeak that first came out. 'Smooth. Real smooth.' "I think I'll have noodles."

Astrid smirked. "I do it for everyone. Just so you know." And she did. She always bought every patron's first round. The brothers encouraged it, and she thought it was a little strange of her to do it when things were so scarce, but she kept up the act anyway. Sometimes people needed a reason to smile, and if a free drink every now and then did that, then she didn't mind keeping it up. She was paid well enough here for that, at least. At his request for noodles, she knocked on the back wall and put in his order. They were usually a little bit slow with the food but that's only because it takes time to make something like that.
She motioned to the stairs off to her right. "We also have rooms if you need a place to stay. The Brothers are usually pretty charitable with them as well if you don't have many caps." Sometimes they would hand out free rooms to people who really needed them, or offered them at a discounted rate. Rather than the usual 10 caps, they would charge 5. She thought highly of them for that. Charitable acts went a long way when it came to impressing her. She liked someone who was willing to give when so many had so little.
She found herself drumming her fingers on the bar as she propped her head in her opposite hand. "I've never been that far, to be perfectly honest. I've only heard about Santuary from what Travis over at Diamond City Radio tells me. Which begs the question of how HE knows, because he's such a recluse he hardly leaves that radio station." She gave a shrug. "I wouldn't mind seeing more than just Diamond City soon. I was thinking about blowing town, but I don't know if I'm strong enough to make it on my own, and caravans are so often targeted by raiders and super mutants." She sighed. She really wished she could get out of Diamond City every so often, then she remembered how little knowledge she had of the Commonwealth and its many dangers and she thought better of going it alone.
After a few moments thee cook brought out Rayi's bowl of noodles and set it down in front of him. It was hot and fresh and smelled heavenly, and she suddenly remembered that she hadn't taken a lunch break today.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? "Wish I had known that before I got a room," Rayi had commented after Astrid told him about the rooms, "It's fine. I'll pick up a couple jobs tomorrow. This city is always needy." There was always someone in Diamond City that needed something done. That was a fact. Sometimes the jobs were simple, like guiding a caravan across the commonwealth. Other times it was a pain in ass. Most often when someone wanted something or someone retrieved. Those jobs usually meant killing a handful of ghouls, or bargaining with Raiders. Raiders never bargained well. They always wanted more than he was being paid which always ended in bloodshed. In all honesty, he had no idea how he managed to live this long.
"Once you get through city, the path to Sanctuary isn't too bad. Just have to follow the roads and keep an eye out for Raiders. You usually hear them coming long before they see you. Gunners aren't really an issue in that area. Not like they are to the south at least. Now those guys you don't want to run into. Raiders you can least bribe or trick. Gunners... well it always ends in your life or theirs." When it came to giving safety tips for traveling, Rayi was fairly chatty. It was one subject he knew a lot about, so talking about it came easily. He was actually ready to continue giving her some tips when he paused for a moment, a realization crossing his mind.
"Have you... ever killed anyone before?" He asked, squinting his eyes accusingly towards her. 'What kind of question is that? Of course she hasn't killed anyone. Look at her! I bet she couldn't even handle a Bloatfly.' "Your best solution would be to hire someone. Offer to pay them once you sell your goods in the next settlement. So long as you keep your word, you'll be fine. Only the idiots refuse that deal." From the comments his other half had been making about this girl, he was certain she one to keep her promises. One could never be too sure though. He'd been caught off guard by a few lies he hadn't been expecting. The one that caught him off guard the most had been when this sweet little old woman told him she was only 29. He knew with her wrinkles she certainly was much older than 29! When he pointed out the lie, she and his other half just laughed at him. He could never figure out why.
When the soup was placed in front of him, he wasted no time eating away at it. It wasn't that he was particularly hungry, he just knew it had been nearly seven hours since his last meal. It was unhealthy to go without food for so long. If he caught a cold, or some other sort of bug, his immune system could be compromised, making him sicker than he should have been if he eaten properly. It was an unnecessary rick, yet he had risked it anyway.

Astrid listened carefully to his words. She noticed that she must have struck one of his interests because he was talking rather freely now. She tilted her head, trying to imagine the things he spoke about. Raiders made her cringe. The memory of her family being killed was still as fresh in her mind as if it had happened yesterday. They terrified her, even if in the big scheme of things there were much worse things in the wastes than raiders. When he asked her if she had ever killed anyone, her body grew rigid, and she bit her bottom lip, removing her gaze from his and letting it fall to the floor. "I never learned how to handle any sort of weapon. The only way I made it to Diamond City from the Capital Wasteland was because I ran from every bit of danger I came across."
It wasn't hard for her to admit she wasn't a fighter. Her father hadn't believed that women should need to worry about things like that, and she was fine with it growing up. Her father had taken great care of making sure they were safe. She wanted to get out of Diamond City, but she wasn't entirely sure how to do that. She let her eyes rest on his once more. "So to answer your question, no. I have not." The idea of killing someone was so foreign to her that she nearly cringed. She couldn't imagine taking someone's life.
She didn't dwell on it any longer than she needed to and finally spoke up again. "I'm off the clock now, so if you need anything else, my relief will be happy to assist you." She pulled a few caps out of her pocket and slid them across the bar to him. "For the food and the drink. Don't thank me." She pushed her hair over her shoulder and gave another smile. "When you're done, you can come and find me in the lobby. It gets quiet around this time and it's a nice spot to read. I may have a job for you if you're interested." She didn't explain any further and removed her apron, storing it under the counter before removing a dusty old book from under there as well and heading for the lobby to find a comfy seat to give her feet a break.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? She confirmed his guess. He had expected as much. Though was quite impressed that she had managed to make it from the Capital wasteland all the way to Diamond City. That was a long trip. She was very luckily she only ran into things she could outrun. His guess was that she hadn't ran into a deathclaw. You just couldn't outrun them. Rayi actually been forced into hiding in a basement for a weak to escape one once. Getting to places they couldn't reach you was the only way he knew of escaping them. That, and sometimes killing them. He'd only managed to kill a few and that was with the help of others.
When she claimed that she was off the clock, Rayi figured that meant their mingling was over. He was fine with that. It meant he could finish eating in peace without his mind teasing him for being unsocial. He was just about to give her a small nod to acknowledge her leaving, but instead found himself caught off guard again. She was not only paying for his drink, but his meal as well? No one this nice! Not in the entire time he had be alive! Wait, no, that wasn't true. He had a few people take him in when he was younger. It was only for a short time, but they had fed him.
"I... ummm... Well..." Rayi had stumbled over his words, realizing he had no response to give her in return. What was he suppose to say in a situation like this if he wasn't aloud to thank her? It confused him to no end and probably would have continued to confuse him if she hadn't brought up the mention of work. That was a subject he could respond to. "Alright. I wont be long." Ok, so he hadn't had much to say on the subject. At least not at the moment. Besides, she looked like she wanted to talk more about it after he finished eating.
Just as he had said, he hadn't taken long finishing his noodles. His whisky, on the other hand, had taken him a bit longer. He started by attempting small sips. It was frustrating his mind with every sip, claiming he wasn't enjoying it the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Eventually he got fed up with the comments and just gulped it down. It was originally meant to piss his mind off, but instead resulted in the exact opposite. The moment he gulped it, he ended up chocking and coughing which caused his mind to burst into laughter and teasing.
Meal finished, Rayi had made his way into the lobby, searching for the bartender from before. She hadn't been hard to find, and he slowly strolled over to her, hands in his pockets. "So, you had work for me?" He spoke up, not offering anything else. His mind was still teasing him about the whisky and it was making it hard to think. Besides, she probably wanted a chance to explain what she wanted from him. His guess was that it was a baby sitting job. She had mentioned she wanted to leave the city so it only made sense. He was fine with a baby sitting job. They were easy. Only a few people ever died on his watch... well... unless you counted the people he killed in order to protect those who had hired him.

Astrid had cracked open her novel and had begun to read, although she had a hard time focusing on the words she was reading. She would find herself getting to the end of a paragraph and realizing that she comprehended nothing she had read and ended up reading it again. Before long, she grew weary of it and decided that her mind was too sporadic for her to be attempting to read. She shoved the book in her backpack that she always kept with her, filled with odds and ends that she found useful. she had quite a few bobby-pins in there. She had grown pretty handy with lockpicking. She had been practicing on her own bedroom door, preparing for the day she actually needed to use it for something. That, and it was helpful to sneak into the bar's kitchen at night to get herself a late night snack when she was on one of her binges with a good book.
When he approached, she regarded him with a small smile. "Well, you seem like you're pretty capable in the Wasteland, so I want to hire you to teach me how to survive out there. Name your price. I've been saving for a while and I have a good bit of caps." She propped her arm on the armrest of the chair and rested her head in her hand. "I've always wanted to get out and actually feel like I'm doing something other than wasting my life away in relative safety. And if you won't agree to it, I'll just wait on the next wanderer to blow into my bar." She gave a shrug, as if it didn't matter much to her.
She was sure that he had something better he could be doing, but she figured she would ask anyway. "Also, I can provide weapons. I know the code to the armory shop down the way, and the owner owes me a favor." She wondered if this would pique his attention. Free weapons and getting paid? It was a generous offer after all.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? "To teach you?" He asked, almost sounding a bit surprised. He had been asked to protect others before, but never to actually teach them. He wasn't what you would call, a people person. 'Is she crazy? We can't teach some weak little shrimp to protect herself. Thats like trying to train a Super Mutant to cuddle a kitten. It's a waste of time. Who cares if she can get us a few measly weapons. We could always break into the place if they have anything worth while.Tell her no!' "She's almost the same height." He commented allowed before turning his attention back to Astrid.
"Alright." He answered without a moment longer to think about it, "I'll... teach you." Ok, so the only reason he was saying yes was to piss off his other side. From the sounds of the grumbling, it had worked. Sure, he had no idea how he was going to go about teaching someone to survive, but it couldn't be that hard, right? Just show her what he'd do. "It will cost you 50 Bottle Caps a day, and I'm not going to go easy on you just because you're learning. I'm also not responsible if you get hurt. Deal?" He held out his hand, awaiting to see if she would agree or decide to find someone else.
His mind was already trying to think of how he would teach her. Obviously he'd have to find out what her strengths and weaknesses were first. Some people believed in trying to improve their weaknesses but not Rayi. He saw that as the perfect way to improve your chances of getting killed. On the other hand, getting better at the things you are already good at... Well, then only those better at it could beat you. Right? She was small like him. That meant she'd probably be good at hiding and sneaking about. It was how he got the job done... well, so long as he was in charge. His other side was a completely different story. He liked using their small size to frustrate those who believed they good aim. Rayi highly doubted that would be the way to teach her.

down in the forest we'll sing a chorus one that everybody knows hands held higher we'll be on fire singing songs that nobody wrote counting sucks Rayi !! ♥ THREAD ONE ♥ | Astrid's eyes brightened when he agreed and her grin spread across her face and she nodded. "Great! I'm ready to get started whenever you are!" Her excitement was more than a little apparent. Honestly, she wished she hadn't had to ask someone. She wished she could teach herself. Her father hadn't been too keen on her and her mother learning stuff like that. Clinging to old-world ideals wasn't exactly the best idea. Astrid sometimes wondered if her father knew exactly how much he had screwed her over.
She let those thoughts rest as she realized exactly what it meant; she could finally achieve her goal of leaving Diamond City. She felt so stagnant staying there when the world was moving around her. She didn't want to see herself get old and not experience the rest of the world. She felt accomplished already and she hadn't even begun yet. She let her gaze settle on him again and she gave another grin. "Thank you so much! I'll pay you for the first day in advance." She opened her backpack and counted out fifty caps before handing them over to him in a small coinpurse.
She figured they wouldn't get much done today with dark swiftly approaching. She put her hands on her hips and regarded him again. "Well, I could give you the grand tour if you like. Doubt we will have time to do anything today." She cocked an eyebrow, waiting for a response.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Good she accepted his- wait, right now? She wanted to start right now?
Rayi squinted his eyes a bit as he thought over the possibility of starting the training now. He knew when he arrived in Diamond City he would have enough time to eat and head back to his room just in time for bed. Training her now meant he would be late going to bed. It was horribly unhealthy to not get the proper amount of sleep and he- 'Oh for the love of atom, get over it. So you'll lose a bit of sleep. Suck it up and humor her.' Rayi had a good feeling his other half was simply upset with him for agreeing to take the job, but he was still correct. He had to suck it up. She was the boss, and if she wanted to train now, they would train now.
"Sure, a tour would be nice." Rayi answered with a small nod. It would help him decide a good place to start the training. Once he got an understanding of her current skills, he could move the training outside the city.
Rayi was just about to turn on his heel to head out of the lobby when he paused. If she was going to be spending time with him and they were going to actually talk, he would have to warn her of one thing. "Look, I just want to let you know I... sometimes have mood changes. Probably the effect of being out in the wastelands too long. Sooo if I... well, become a jerk... just be aware of it, ok?" Ok, it wasn't completely truthful, but the lie would work well enough. He didn't really enjoy sharing the fact that he had a split personality. Mood swings sounded much better. "Anyway, yah... lets get started with that tour."

down in the forest we'll sing a chorus one that everybody knows hands held higher we'll be on fire singing songs that nobody wrote counting sucks Rayi !! ♥ THREAD ONE ♥ | Astrid nodded. "That's alright. You'll find that I'm pretty patient." She gave a wink and headed for the door, hands clasped behind her back. "Well, first off, Diamond City used to be a baseball stadium before the War, but most people know that. I think it's pretty interesting. Pre-war stuff always amazed me." She gave a shrug as she stepped out into the coming darkness. The shops were beginning to close down, and she gestured for him to follow. "I don't know how much you know about Diamond City, but there are some pretty cool spots if you know where to look."
She headed off, not bothering to look back and make sure he was keeping up. She assumed that he was capable of doing so. Her favorite place to visit was the old stands. The stadium was huge, and it was cool to get a nice vantage point to see the whole city. She liked being able to survey the goings on from above. It made her feel a little closer to the outside world. Occasionally she would hang out with the guards on the walls and watch them shoot at this and that. She never gathered the nerve to ask them to try it for herself though.
"I never got a house in town because it's just so crowded. The Commonwealth views Diamond City in different ways. Some good and some bad, but it doesn't deter people from coming here. Safety is alluring." She gave another shrug and turned to continue walking backwards so she could better speak with him. "What do you think about it?"

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? He had heard something mentioned about baseball in this city before, but he had never really paid much attention to it. "Baseball? Isn't that the game where people use to wack each other with wooden bats?" Or at least he was pretty sure that was what someone had told him. He had never really cared too much about what life was like before the great war. After all, it all seemed so surreal hearing about it. He couldn't imagine a world being so perfect. "I've visited the city a couple times, but that was years ago." And by years, he actually meant nearly 40 years ago. The less he visited a place, the less likely anyone would remember him when he returned. Things were just... better that way.
He followed behind her, his hands in his jacket pockets the entire time. While he walked, his eyes had slowly scanned his surroundings. Watching his surroundings, even in a 'safe zone' was a habit he wasn't even aware he was doing. Living in the wastelands for so long, it just started becoming part of who you were. Sadly, he didn't think it was something he could really teach her. He could tell her to always be aware of what was around her, but only she could truly do it. He didn't need to think about that right now anyway. Right now, he could relax and simply enjoy the tour.
"Hmm? About the city? Um, well..." He had paused a moment, thinking over her question. "It's alright I guess. A little crowded for my tastes, but the people here seem to be real nice. I like that they stick so strictly to their rules." It was very hard not to snicker at the lies coming out of his mouth. The people in Diamond city were nice? Ha! Both he and his other side could agree that this city stunk of snobs and idiots. Heck, he bet half of them would be in an uproar if he claimed he had seen evidence of another Institute in the wastelands. he did understand why they had been afraid of the Institute. After all, they had been kidnapping people. What Rayi couldn't understand was why they hated the other races so much? What was wrong with the ghoul population? Hell, they were still human, just... ugly.
"If you were talking to a ghoul, they probably tell you the exact opposite about Diamond city." He continued, hiding his true feelings of the city in the eyes of someone else, "Stuck up, afraid, gullible, and so on. Most just don't understand why the humans living here can't learn to live with the other races. But... that's just what I've heard." In truth, his favorite city supported exactly what he had just said. Mention Diamond city inside Goodneighbor and you would get an earful of complaints from them. Then again, the same could be said about mentioning Goodneighbor here. "What... do you think of this city?"
